Dear Disney,
Thank you for planning the upcoming TRON 20th anniversary two-disc special edition. The features look phenomenal, but I would like to suggest one feature that may not be already planned: Wendy Carlos' entire score in isolated stereo.
Specifically, Carlos has posted on her website (http://www.wendycarlos.com/news.html#baketape) that she went to a great amount of trouble to digitally rescue the TRON score from some master tapes that were in very poor condition. However, there is still no plan for a CD release of the soundtrack.
How about including the entire soundtrack as an extra feature on the DVD? Since this would be the full score, as opposed to just the sections used in the film, it could be an alternate audio track on one of the documentaries, or perhaps the score could play over a photo gallery? In any case, it would be shame for it to not finally see the light of day in a digital format.
Thanks for your consideration of my idea, and for this wonderful release, whatever the final features may be.
