    Hi,
    Wondering if anyone has info
    (a) If there are still some normal DVD sites which have Mickey Mouse in Colour, very hard to find.
    (b) If there is details of future "Disney Treasures" coming, like with Donald Duck or Pluto and when they are coming?

    Antony,
Yes, Mickey Mouse in Living Color is hard to find. I managed to find it at the Disney Store web site but I think they may be out again. I would keeping checking back with their web site or some of the other major dvd sites like DVD Planet or DVD Empire. The Disney web site would also be a good source for future releases.

Problem is I live in Australia, and the tins have not been released in Disney stores here at all since they are strictly zone 1 disc. I bought a few of the other ones over the internet, but the Disney in mickey colour ones must have been the most popular since these have sold out out of the ones from the first batch.

Looking forward to the release of Looney tunes which has already occured for the zone 2 people in Feb, saw a site the other day in UK where you can preorder it, but might wait for zone 1 disc to come out since it is probably better....

Wartime Cartoons is definately coming in the next wave (or sooner). It wasn't released in 2002 because of rights problems (Probably disputes with MGM over Victory With Air Power, which was released by UA after Disney was releasing through RKO)

Damn, I KNEW I should have picked up Mickey Mouse in Living Color earlier. It's the only one I'm missing. It's not available anywhere online and I even sent my poor old mother out to hunt for it at the local stores, to no avail. It's already seeling for $70+ on E-Bay. I say again, damn.

Does anyone know if there are any plans of releasing some of these DVDs regularly - that is, not in limited edition tins?

    Thanks,

    Neil

But I wish they would release another batch soon.
Pluto would be pretty cool too, how many cartoons does he have?
I read somewhere that you can get a lot of these cartoons on laserdisc from Japan, but I don't have a laserdisc player...

I seriously doubt that there will be separate releases without the tins. To be honest, even with the tins, the price is great for what you get. Also, even though we film buffs eat this stuff up, the general public isn't buying them. They only made 150,000 of the first series and they're just now beginning to become scarce. From what I understand, Maltin had to push Disney to even go ahead with a second wave and they only released 125,000 this time. While these numbers don't sound small, you have to realize that a release like MONSTERS, INC. has sold well over a million copies. I just hope that they don't give up on them. These sets are wonderful! The current Goofy set is hysterical.

I called Disney and they did verify that they are going to only be available in the limited editions.

We are going to Disney World at the end of the month, so I'll have to check and see if MM in Living Color is there, as it doesn't seem to be anywhere else in the retail world.

I was just at Disney World in December, and saw the Treasures tins in a lot of the retail stores. But I don't remember seeing any MM in LC, although I wasn't specifically looking for it either.

I bought MM in LC last year but never got Silly Symphonies when it came out. I ordered SS from Amazon.ca (Canada) in early December but just got an e-mail from them saying it is delayed another 4-6 weeks. I think it is also becoming very scarce. I hope they don't string me along and end up cancelling it altogether. I may have to snap it up elsewhere if I see it. I could always then sell one if the Amazon.ca order comes through.
