Has anyone picked this up? I'm considering it because I don't have toy story 1, 2, or bugs life. My main question is what am I missing without having the toy story disk 3? Any essential extras?
Also, anyone who has this, can you give a review?
This pack is only $40 at futureshop so I figure it's a good deal.
    Thanks.

    Paul-
I have not seen the 3-pack you are mentioning,
but just as an FYI, you should know that the DVDs
are VERY different from the Ultimate Toy Box 3 disc
set. You will be missing a lot of goodies.
And A Bug's Life is not even anamorphic
widescreen on the DVD-only release compared to the
loaded SE 2-disc release of that film.

    Paul-
I suppose it comes down to how you feel about
extras. The commentaries, making ofs, deleted scenes
and so forth really made the boxed sets of each
    a "no brainer."
    Also, on A Bug's Life Collector's
2 Disc Edition, not only do you get the 1.33:1 and
2.35:1 presentations of the films, but an isolated
music score, an isolated sound effects score, and
the aforementioned audio commentary, which is
one of the most engaging I've listened to.
The same for Toy Story 2 as far
as the commentary goes. I found myself laughing
out loud with the Pixar folks as they discuss
all the insides jokes and what not.

Son of a beef!!! I really want to get these movies, but the most important thing to me is the anamorphic picture. Although I appreciate bonus material, I have over 250 DVDs, and over half of them I've never listened to the commentaries or watched all the supplements, so Im not too concerned with them. I really want to get anamorphic versions of these movies, but Im not prepared to pay $45 for the SE of Bugs Life, and $40 for the Toy Story Box set...Id pay $30 for all 3 movies, but not $85.

    Paul,
I own the 3 disc set for Toy Story and the 2 disc Bug's Life set and they are excellent!
BTW - I will NEVER order from FutureShop.ca again. They took over 6 months to get an order straightened out. That included shipping delays, wrong prices, idiots on the customer service line and more. I jump at the opportunity to share this information with people because I don't want anyone to experience half the stuff I went through with them.

    Darren,
Thanks for your reply - those sites were very informative. I've got a Wega and I want to make the most of the 16x9 feature.
