Tried to post this earlier today, but the board was down.
I just got back with 7 Disney DVDs, & can confirm they are on sale again for $10.
Same deal as last time, sale can end at any time.

I can confirm this! I have also been trying to post this all day! (how frustrating to have news that you can't share with people!)
Sale can end at a moment's notice--tonight, tomorrow, whenever! Everything (DVD & VHS) for $10--except Beauty and the Beast and Monster's Inc.
    Good luck, everyone!
(Hope people can log on to read this!)

Just got back. The store I went to said that they were emptied out pretty early this morning. Looks like they were trying to get rid of whatever was left from the last sale. Since I didn't make it to that sale I did pick up a couple of discs that I needed. I forgot to ask when the sale was over, but the impression I got from speaking to the manager was that it would end tonight. Of course I could be wrong.

Yea!!!!.....when I read this I immediately jumped in the car and went to the local Disney Store (5 minutes away). They were prety picked over as well, but I bought a couple there, then drove to the next closest store in Glendale, CA. They had a much larger selection.

    All in all I got:

    The Princess Diaries
    The Rookie
    Snow Dogs
    Mickey's house of Villans
    Winnie the Pooh
    Return to Neverland

    All about $64 after tax.

I'm just back from my local Disney Store:
    I WOULD have bought:
    American Legends
    Sword in the Stone
    Robin Hood
    House of Villains
    Old Yeller
    Ichabod and Mr. Toad
But, they had NOTHING I wanted. So, I walk away empty handed except with the knowledge that I will have saved money for when the new wave of Disney Treasures is released December 3rd.

My "inside source" gave it a definite maybe. They seemed to think the Disney suits keep a close track on how things have been moving via computer--especially on the East Coast (no, I don't know why)--and shut things down at random when they think they've sold what they wanted to. Or "cleaned out" the inventory they wanted to may be a more appropriate way of putting it.

I made it to two stores tonight.

At the first store I was shocked, boxes and boxes of DVDs behind the counter. Boxes! My first thought was hmmm maybe they discovered how popular this sale COULD be and decided to pull the plug on the first sale until they could stock the stores of DVDs they were trying to liquidate. So much of the idea they did it the first time to raise numbers for the end of quarter.

I ended up picking up titles for young realtives. I also saw a dvd on Walt himself. I have no idea what this is, but for $10, how can I go wrong?

I also added buy 3 and preorder lilo-stitch totaling $50 gets you a $10 GC, with that I got another DVD for tax only.

    Damn I hate Disney!

    Jeff,

Do you happen to know the name of the DVD about Walt that you picked up?

I remember seeing on a Disney fan site that the documentary "Walt: The Man Behind the Myth" would be released on DVD in October. I have not heard anything about it recently, so I was wondering if this is the DVD that you found at the Disney Store.

    Thanks!

A very good sale. I got The Rookie for myself and some titles that I normally wouldn't buy at a higher price but would make good gifts for the little ones for Christmas:
    A Bug's Life
    Atlantis
    Return To Neverland
    Oliver & Company
Many Adventure of Winnie the Pooh
    Lilo and Stitch
all for $10 a piece (gift card inclusive). The titles over at my store were limited or else I would have purchased some other ones.

    Nice call Jeff.
    I should have mentioned this.
I did the same thing, but did not spend the gift card yet.
My wife being quite the Disney fan will use it on something I'm sure.
I dropped $90 + tax this time, & $70 + tax last time they did this same sale. Ouch!

Brian I was looking for "The Princess Diaries" & was told by a Disney store employee that this movie was pull off the shelf by Disney, & not because of this sale. Huh?

The Disney store I went to was picked over, but I picked up:

Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
    Schoolhouse Rock

I would have picked up The Rookie if they had it, but they didn't.

The Disney Store I went to had already been picked over... so there wasn't much left (a couple DTV sequels was all that was left). I did pick up a Lilo and Stich preorder for $10 after the GC I got from B&TB last month though...I collect those lithos they give out (I need to get some frames some day) and these are the nicest thus far... so it wasn't a total waste. Yes it's a new DVD. I watched the original documentary when it was shown on ABC last year and was quite impressed. The DVD includes 40 additional minutes, which is great considering they conducted hours and hours of interviews for the special.

According to all of the Disney Stores that I have called in a 150-mile radius of Charlotte, it is not even available on DVD. It's also not available on Amazon or DisneyStore.com.

I'm not sure why some Disney Stores have it while others have not even heard of it. Thanks to you, I now know that it actually exists.

    Take care,
    Jason

Has anyone seen the Atlantis: CE for $10? I just went to three stores and found nothing.
I don't want to check out the remaining stores in my area if it will amount to a wild goose... er, mouse chase. [IMG]
    Thanks.

Gary, no one had seen the CE version of Atlantis, just the movie version.

Jason, thanks. I guess I scored. I wish I would have know your interest before I picked it up, I would have got you one. =(
