Any plans for this to be released on its own? I already own the SE's of Scream and Scream 3, and I will not buy them again in the box set just to get Scream 2.

Yes, please release the SE of Scream 2 separately!
No point in purchasing the box set when the original Scream is not anamorphic.

I want this too. I didn't buy the box set because the original Scream is cut and non-anamorphic.

They could easily just release Scream 2 by itself and i'm sure they probably will.
If you want it right now check ebay i saw one on there yesterday.Amazon has the set for $44.99 and you can use a $5 off coupon to get an even lower price.
As for the Scream DVD not being anamorphic, aside from some noticable edge-enhancement it's the best non-anamorphic transfer i've seen IMO.

Not to mention the fact that the first Scream is not "cut." It is the theatrical version. Yes, a few seconds of footage were cut for the MPAA, but I would hardly say that that warrants a reissue (especially if you're a fan of the movie, and you're holding out for that reason). As for it being non-anamorphic, I agree that it is still a very nice picture.

If the MPAA didn't give them a NC-17 which forced them to cut a few seconds-then that version would've been released in theaters & is the orginal version. Yes the current "theatrical" version is cut & wasn't how the movie was supposed to be viewed, though i guess some people don't mind censorship?
+ the uncut version was released on LD. So it's pretty annoying that it's not on dvd because of there stupid policy & no third party licensing rules. They should've never got bought out by Di$ney!!!!!!!
Still you an get the uncut jap dvd if you have a region free player. I don't

so i may just get the current dvd & one day finnaly see it uncut? I hope.
