Haha, I was thinking that too.Mike Frezon said:Why do I think Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Billy Dee Williams might be reaching out to their personal trainers and plastic surgeons this week?
I'm not so sure. Disney purchased DreamQuest Images in 1996, renamed it The Secret Lab during production of Dinosaur, then shut the doors in 2001. But, then again, DreamQuest was no ILM.Originally Posted by Brandon Conway /t/324825/disney-buys-lucasfilms-for-4-05-billion#post_3995394
Disney owning ILM could be an interesting development to watch as well.

No you, weren't.Carlo Medina said:I haven't even read the article yet (I'm hoping there's no prohibition against releasing the OOT in the future in high definition), but I have to ask:
Was I the only one who read this thread's headline and had to check if it wasn't April 1?
I'll have more comments once I get up to speed on all the happenings. Of course we all know that Disney is no stranger to never re-releasing original versions of things (Song of the South), But of course if latent racism was the reasoning behind that, we may never see the unedited prequels...or they may completely re-dub Jar Jar and the Trade Federation.
My power was out from last night until this afternoon and when I went online, I wondered what the hell had happened while I was gone. On MSN, I saw a headline saying 'Star Wars Episode VII coming' or something along those lines and my first thought was "What a bunch of idiots, they got tricked by some ludicrous internet rumor." Then I read the story and was very surprised.TonyD said:]

I get email notices from Home Media Mag and this was today's breaking news and I wasn't sure
For a few moments if it was real.

Just wanted to add, there IS one, tiny hope I kinda hold out from this whole thing:
"Pixar's The Secret of Monkey Island."
