Every fan of this film would love to see both the New Zealand 107-minute cut and the International 98-minute cut on the same disc via seamless branching.
I very much doubt it's beyond your capacity. Please do fans everywhere a huge favour and release this long-awaited DVD with both versions on the same disc.
There are Link Removed devoted to this film, so its following is great.
As an aside note, it should also be noted that two people on the end credit scroll - Nigel Black and Amanda Jenkins - are credited with 'video diary', which would pave the way for an on-set documentary of some sort, but having both versions on the upcoming DVD is the important thing!

I was never able to watch it but I am a fan of Peter Jackson. As I understand there is only a lousy Pan&Scan version of this film available on DVD. I hope that "Lord of the Rings" leads to new version of Creatures and Frighteners (the LD must be fantastic).

Yes!
I've seen both the US and the longest, NZ cut, and I far prefer the NZ cut!
Please put both version on the DVD!

Given a choice, I would also prefer BOTH cuts, in their original aspect ratio of course. How this achieved is inconsequential, whether branching or simply two discs.

A dual-layer would more than house both versions (without supplements though), even if there was no seamless branching involved - they run 99 and 108 minutes respectively.

I would also like to see it again. I haven't seen it since I rented a Norwegian VHS, solely because of Peter Jackson's name on the cover, (actually I had been aware of it's existence before that, but the VHS took quite some time before it was released in my country) A great movie!
