I've had two DP 7200s "online" for a year and have had none of the oft-reported chronic problems many DP owners report. One still contains the stock HD. The other, I swapped for a Maxtor, 5400 rpm, 32-gig HD. Both operate flawlessly. I bought my DPs direct from Echostar, including a third for a spare. I've been a Dish sub for 2-1/2 years and have Americas Everything Pack. An inexpensive chimney-mounted antenna brings me five regional stations. No cable. Dropped that after 32 years and haven't looked back.

I tried upgrading the HD in my unit but this was when the WebTV servers were flaky and it did not auto-install the software.
But I do love the dishplayer. I have been grumping to Dish that they should have some upgrade program to the new 501 units (which they are giving away to new subscribers).
Of all my HT toys, this is the one my wife likes/loves. (Now if I could just get her to love that HDTV in the store... [IMG]).
