I was thinking of upgrading to the new Dish DVR 625. I currently have the 508. I mainly want it for the dual-tuner and PIP. Do I have to do anything like add a second dish on my roof to get dual-tuner capablilies?

I had never heard of a Dish625 so I just looked it up. It's amazing that Dish retailers charge $349 for a dual tuner standard def DVR when DirecTV has theirs for $49.

Second dishes are required to look at another satellite. You won't need one. You may need a new LNB(s) and/or multi-switch but that depends on what you have now. Dish makes it difficult and expensive to upgrade since they use proprietary switches and wide selection of LNBs. Not everything is compatible with each other so you need to know what you have before you purchase anything.
