    All,
Does the Dish 6000 Decode HDTV or Do I need an external Decoder as well for my Tosh TN55X81 TV. If so, which one is everyone using?
    Thanks,
    K

The 6000 decodes hd channels from the dish network, you will also need the separate 8vsb ota module for over the air digital channels in your area for local HD...

I Have a dish 6000 and it decodes either 720p or 1080i. You make the choice. Also if you want to receive digital channels over the air via antenna then you need the 8vsb tuner. If you have digital channels in your area this is a super way to go so you can get the most programing available. I run both HD signals thru my Sony LCD projector and the picture is stunning to say the least!!! One last thought is that you have to be able to point a separate satellite dish to 61.5 to receive the dish HD content! Have fun and enjoy.
