Was researching the repackaged single-sided seasonals of O-R CBS Dallas on EBay just earlier, and came across listings for replacement discs in the tenth-season (1986-87) release. That interested me, because now we know what the discs in these repackaged seasonals look like. Here's an example, for Disc 6 in that tenth-season release.

Actually, no, there isn't-- I just brought this up because I had done much fruitless searching for what the packaging of these repackaged O-R Dallas seasonals looked like, and the repackaging of any series is usually a hot topic to me.

There are several sellers on Ebay that list individual discs from season sets as "replacement discs". It's meaning in this case is to replace a disc from a set that is missing or damaged, and not from a recall from the manufacturer.

Anybody buy the re-releases with more dvds with fewer episodes on them? Is the picture quality better? Is it worth rebuying seasons that the picture quality wasn't very good...season 11 comes to mind.

I think the reason we haven't seen anymore KL is because of music rights....but Falcon Crest Season 4 was supposed to be released by WB a long time ago and nothing. I wonder what went wrong......anybody know where we can contact WB to ask??

Yes, that is true about the music rights......but that's been ongoing since 2009 when the 2nd season was released on DVD. So it's taken close to 10 years for Warner Brothers to get the music rights? I find that hard to believe. And what's the issue with "Falcon Crest"? I just think that WB were expecting the sales of "Knots Landing" and "Falcon Crest" to equal "Dallas".....they need to be realistic.....there is a fan base for both "Knots Landing and "Falcon Crest".....so go to MOD format or Limited release.....but just release the damn shows already!!! Uggh!!!

Falcon Crest was being released on MOD after season 1. I contacted WB and asked why Season 4 of Falcon Crest wasn't released after they said it would be. They gave me a general response in that there were no plans in releasing it soon or weren't even sure if it would be released. This is after WB said it would be released after Season 3 was released....no explanation given at all....

And Amazon has had Season 4 of Falcon Crest on Prime Video for some time now so I don't get why WB never released it on DVD.

It's the same with "Knots Landing"......first it was "sales were not good" (actually not as good as "Dallas"), then in 2009, after they released the 2nd Season, Warner Brothers stated they are working on "music right issues"......It's now almost 2019.....and supposedly there are still music rights issues? smh…..10 years? And now nothing with "Falcon Crest". I admit, the sales for either of these shows would probably not beat "Dallas" in sales.....but there is a loyal base for both shows....."Knots Landing" had close to 2000 signatures on a petition (petition is now closed)…..if everyone on the petition bought a copy of the completed season....that's close to 2000 copies!?!?!? I don't know.....I just hope "Knots Landing" and "Falcon Crest get some sort of release before physical media dies altogether. I know, for next year, 2019, it will mark "Knots Landing's" 40th Anniversary.....hoping something gets released next year to mark their anniversary.....Warner Brothers clue in please!!!
