I just got an "invitation" in tne mail from Dish about DHDT. I'm in Los Angeles on the 148 sat and the "order taker" said it WAS on both sats but not the demo channel. He also said they were back ordered about 2 weeks for the unit. After I placed my order (which took a very long time while he was getting it into the system) he said it would ship in about 2-3 days. I questioned this and he then said he just doesn't know what the status is. Here's hoping!

You were right Dennis! I called a week after ordering to find out where my modulator was. I was told that it went out "yesterday" (the day before I called).
I finally received the modulator, hooked it up, and I am finally enjoying Discovery HD! Looks great! I watched "Insectia" tonight, and was completely blown away by the quality! This is what HDTV is all about!
Dish Network on the other hand needs to hire some people who actually know what the hell they are doing! I spent an eternity on the phone trying to order the modulator and wound up arguing with the operator over what I needed. When I called to follow up on my order, I was told that there were TWO tracking numbers. The reason for this was that they originally sent me the wrong piece of equipment, so they cancelled that order, and then sent me the 8psk.
There are a bunch of idiots working at Dish Network! :rolleyes
