I recently had Costner recommended to me as a really nice, humble man, by someone who'd been enjoying his audio commentaries. I've since gotten into his movies, both directing and starring roles, and found him only effective when cast in this kind of honourable role. A Perfect World was a great one, where he plays a criminal, but quite a decent one, so it suits.

You'll probably have better luck with your Waterworld question in the Movies area. Costner replacing Reynolds is the rumor I've read before, that's about all I know from the details of that production.

As for discussion it's certainly welcome, the lack of it here is probably due to the lack of activity plus I only swing by once or a couple times a week (don't know about the others) so it's difficult to spark, let alone maintain discussion in that environment.
