Akira was the first anime movie I'd seen and I was completely gobsmacked by it. I was an instant fan and I've been collecting anime ever since, mostly movies, but Akira remains unsurpassed in my opinion as the greatest of them all, the "2001" of anime, and still my favorite of the 200 or so titles I own.

1)Akira
2)Steamboy
3)Memories
4)Robot Carnival

Rating Average - 3.5 out of 5.

1. Akira - B+
2. Steamboy - C+

Own: 0

Akira blew me away when I first saw it, I don't feel as strongly about it now.

Added Steamboy - C+ - Had it's moments but mostly a lot of action and a lot of yelling with very little character.
