1)Hard-Boiled (I saw this before The Killer and went totally nuts over it, my favorite HK thriller, although there are a number of HK martial arts movies I love more)

*I think Dead Knot is the student film included on the Criterion Hard-Boiled DVD. If so I give it an A-.

Own: 3 (Seems like every edition of Better Tomorrow has some kind of problem so I haven't bought it. There probably is a better edition of Bullet available now, but when I was really buying DVD's there was just the sucky Mei-Ah)

Not sure why I never rented Once A Thief. Interested in other HK movies from seeing a bunch of the trailers on the Crit DVD. Not really interested in the US stuff I haven't seen.

I've gotta say that Hard-Boiled was quite underwhelming. It contains nowhere near the amount of emotional resonance as The Killer or Bullet in the Head, and the action, while well staged, becomes stale and repetitive by film's end.
