I need to write these studios regarding several of their catalog films that aren't yet available on dvd. I just gotta know when and if they'll be coming out or if they've even begun work on them...titles like

    Sunset Boulevard

    Swing Time

    The Producers

    Yankee Doodle Dandy

    Blow Up

    Greed

    King Kong

    Persona

Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia

Are there any contacts for these studios that I can write to, via email, and actually get a response from?

Any info would be greatly appreciated from those that have had luck.

Heck, I miffed that these titles aren't out already anyway. It's driving me CRAZY

Martin Blythe from Paramount comes here often.

Peter Staddon from FOX use to come here often. He stopped a bit before FOX announced that they'd be releasing P&S versions of a few of their movies.

I haven't seen representatives from the other 2 studios post here though.

Carrol, you might want to know that Paramount are known to be working on Sunset Boulevard, although no release date has been promised as yet. Also I think MGM did say that Persona was being planned as a 2002 release, but that was some time ago, and I've no idea what its current status is. I'm certainly looking forward to those two titles as well!

Sunset Blvd. needs extra care since it was the very last movie filmed on nitrate film.

The DVD absolutely needs to keep the nitrate glow to the picture (like WB's Citizen Kane, Columbia's It Happened One Night, Universal's Harvey.) to look its best.

Also, WB is working on Swing Time and King Kong (both being digitally restored by you-know-who).

MGM is working on a special edition of The Producers complete with a new making-of doc.

I thought that Greed was out on DVD in the 4 hour restored version that played on both TCM and AMC about 2 years ago???

Donald... Greed isn't out on dvd, the 4-hour restored version is on VHS only.
