I'm surprised no one's mentioned this yet, but the Rumor Mill on The Digital Bits is reporting that Frasier and Cheers appear to be coming to DVD sometime this year. We've already heard reports the Frasier is in the near future, so this doesn't come as a complete shock. But getting Cheers on DVD....woohoo! [IMG]

I will pass on Frasier but count me in for a season 1 of Cheers.

They made both 16:9 and 4:3 'hi def' restorations. Hope for the latter to be used for discs.

We got photos! Cover art and disc art!
Bad note, though: The disc art DOES say "Widescreen" on it! [IMG]
I hope that Paramount has the sense to release this Fullscreen, and that the disc art is a mock-up where someone simply forgot to change the "Wide..." portion of the basic template.
How ironic would that be?...Paramount releasing Widescreen copies of "Cheers" and Fullscreen copies of "C.S.I." all around the same time! [IMG]

David could we get a closeup of that box and disc art? I can barely see them.

It sure looks like just a mock-up, and since like 90% of Paramount's releases are widescreen (or so it seems), that would make sense.

Matting "Cheers" would be the dumbest thing since...well, I dunno, but something really dumb.
