Lots of good stuff on sale for $4.99. I restrained myself and just picked up:

No thanks to everyone here ( ) I ended up getting about 10 movies. I think I already said I tend to save digital purchases for movies I like that are only available on DVD or are expensive on BR and aren't available for rent. I did get The Girl On the Train (which I think is totally under-rated) and Unforgiven since they're 4K (which will never be $5 on disc) and I don't care if they don't have HD soundtracks.

A few obscure ones I suggest that I haven't mentioned yet.

One False Move - gritty, low budget crime drama with a great cast.
Secretary - Weird, psychological dark comedy that defies description.
The Rapture (1991) - One of The Most intriguing, baffling, divisive, ambiguous and absolutely fascinating movies I've ever seen. I get a different meaning from it every time I watch it.

Damn! I wasn't planning on buying anything else, but Darkest Hour was too good a price to pass up.

I saw a couple good HD ones for $5 that are only available on DVD. Ordinary People and In the Bedroom.

    Has anyone watched Ad astra?

I’ve been stalking the codes for sale topics and no one has been lower than $10 that hasn’t sold in seconds so I was thinking I’ll just snag it off iTunes for the current $10 sale.

What do you want to know? I watched it in a movie theater and have the 4K disc along with the digital.

    Just opinion on the movie.
You bought it after seeing it so you must have liked it.

Tony, I don’t want to say so much that it’s bad (or good) but that it’s a very different movie from what the trailers, posters and ads say it’s about. I would recommend it more as a rental first than a blind buy because of that.

I read much of thst topic until it got into too spoilery stuff.
The movies it’s been compared to I like, so it seems like I might like this one.

I liked it to. Working on a review of it as well. The score has been in my listening rotation almost nonstop since I picked it up.

I was tempted on Ad Astra as a blind buy, too, but decided to wait. It will probably be available for $5 eventually. I have too much unwatched material right now anyway.

    Hmm.

Do 20th Century movies drop that far?
