Apocalypse Now and Casino that I purchased for $4.99 each have upgraded to 4K on iTunes. I purchased Casino a couple of weeks ago hoping for this outcome while I purchased Apocalypse Now late last year.

Edit: It's the Apocalypse Now Redux version that has upgraded to 4K/DV/Atmos which runs 196 minutes. The version that runs 147 minutes is still HD. Also, Casino is 4K/HDR with no Atmos.
Cool. Now I know which version of Apocalypse to buy on iTunes (when the price is right). I was afraid to buy it beforehand because I might get stuck with the version that didn’t upgrade! I already own the Blu-ray box with both cuts, so I don’t need both cuts on iTunes.

I just bought one of my favorite films for more than I usually pay for a classic film on iTunes. My price point is usually $4.99 for catalog titles. However, iTunes just dropped the pricing for the HD digital of "The Bad and the Beautiful" from $14.99 to $9.99. I love this film and I bit on that that price drop. Watch Warner Archive release it on Blu-ray before the end of the year.
Wait a minute, is this new to HD? Cheap Charts only has 2 days of tracking of the HD version but all the way back to 2015 in SD.

A bunch of recently released movies on sale at $9.99 with most of them in 4K. Also, some Disney classics for sale at $9.99. It's harder to justify buying those Disney titles with Disney+ launch less than 3 months away.

The new Apocalypse Now looks like it’s $10.
I think it includes three different versions of the movie and Hearts but I can’t guarantee that.

If it is expected that Gone With The Wind will get a 4K release later this year, then now is the perfect opportunity to pick it up for $4.99 on iTunes.

Has anyone bought this new release of Apocalypse Now?
It looks like there are two additional versions and a handful of extras but I can’t verify if Hearts of a darkness is also there.

The cover clearly shows the Hearts of Darkness is included.

Apocalypse Now Final Cut is now $12.99.

The Apocalypse Now Collection, which gives you the Final Cut + Hearts of Darkness, is $17.99.

If you already owned Apocalypse Now on iTunes, it has been upgraded to 4K/Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos.

The Final Cut was only made available today. The Redux version upgraded last week to 4K/DV/DA, but the 147 minute version remain in HD.

Edit: I stand corrected, the 147 minute version (standalone) has upgraded to 4K/DV/DA too which wasn't the case earlier this morning. This is the shortest version of the film. Also, the Redux version which is the longest version of the film is now not available for purchase as a standalone title. It's only available with the The Final Cut as an alternate version, but only in HD. The shortest film version is also an alternate cut, but it's in 4K/DV/DA. As Tino suggested, I think it's a glitch about the Redux in HD only because my standalone Redux version is still in 4K/DV/DA.

Does anybody's head hurt with all this confusion?:) How hard is it to make sure all three versions are in 4K/DV/DA? We had a similar digital screw up with Encounters of the Third Kind and The Natural.
