Yes. I’ve never known Warner to release a 4K UHD disc without a digital code, and if there’s a digital code, the iTunes file automatically gets upgraded.

This is great news. Maybe I'll gamble on THE COLOR PURPLE as well. It was re-released to theaters so perhaps Warner is planning a 4k release.

Bill Hunt has it listed on his site for later this year. It was re-released to theaters derived from a new 4K master.

I was browsing Vudu's 3 for $14.99 4K sale and noticed "The Running Man" on that list of titles. I knew I bought it previously on iTunes and sure enough, my HD digital in my iTunes library did upgrade to 4K/Dolby Vision. However, it's no longer available for purchase on iTunes.

It’s a terrific deal. $2 a film. Was it that hard a decision?;)

It was for me as I have those films on Blu-ray. A hard pass for me.

I’m with you there. The convenience of digital access is not as important to me as it is for others, so the only real reason to buy this deal is for the possibility of 4K upgrades. Since that possibility is so remote, and ST:TMP will be exempt from upgrade because it is a different cut from the one that is currently rumored to be in the works, it’s just not worth it.

I do too. But the convenience of having all these films and terrific extras without having to exchange discs is more than worth it to me.

I jumped on this last week to take advantage of the possible 4K iTunes upgrade, then sold my region-free Blu-ray set for $18. I'm happy.

Just nabbed Instant Family in 4K for $4.99. Been waiting for that one to come down in price for a while now. I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to in theaters.

Overall, this week is an awful selection of discounted movies for me as many of them I already have in my digital library. I won't make a single purchase this week.

I passed on every single one of these offerings. Bring on Friday!
