I just picked up a power amp to go along with my denon 3801 and im trying not to spend a fortune on interconnects :) radio shack has some new decent looking cables which are sold as "digital audio cables" link They are $10 for a 3 ft cable. Am i correct in thinking that these should work fine as an analog interconnect between the 3801 and the amp?

Take a look at some of their sets of L/R/Video cables in a single bundle. A few years ago someone determined that all 3 cables were 75 ohm cables (which are required for Video and Coaxial Digital).

You should measure how far apart the RCA inputs to your amp are and make sure there is enough slack in the ends to reach. Two of these 3-conductor cables can really reduce the cable clutter.
