I previewed both of these at a local Tweeter's. Using the first scene from Saving Private Ryan. I don't remember the speaker setup, but the price range was about 400 per speakers.

The difference I noticed is that the 1803, seemed brighter, and at time the high pitch sounds seemed to be in your face, ie the machine gun fire. The 2802 seems a bit layed back, and the dialogue seemed clearer. I liked the 2802 better, but then again I went with the H/K 525.

    Good luck
    Rajiv
