differences between dvd writers? (1 Viewer)

i may be in the market for a dvd burner, and i was looking at the sony dru-500a, and i noticed there was also a dru-500ax. anyone know the difference? doesnt seem to be much proce difference between the two, i'm guessing its something small, maybe even a firmware update. i'll be using the drive to archive my HD, and archive home videos and such. thanks

found the answer, didnt think to do a search first. the ax is pretty much the same drive, with new firmware and 4x burning. admins may delete if they wish.
