I have the new versions of both Iron Giant & Mallrats. A place that buys them seems to have a good price for the old versions of both movies. Before I sell them back. Is their anything missing from the new version that is on the old version???

    Thanks!

As I recall, the new version of Mallrats doesn't have the video portions of the commentary that the first version does.

For Iron Giant, I seem to recall a Vin Diesel hosted program (which aired on television) that was on the first release but isn't on the new one.

The new Iron Giant disc is indeed mising the 22-minute-long documentary, as well as the Eddie Platt "Cha-Hua-Hua" music video from the old disc.

Nothing matters except that the new release is in "ANAMORPHIC!!!"

John, the original DVD editions of both films featured anamorphic transfers.

The SE of Iron Giant has a hilarious featurette about Teddy Newton, who narrates a really funny storyboard sequence. Gold!

On a similar topic, what are the differences been X-Men and X-Men 1.5? I seem to remember something about the Spider-Man easter egg not being on X-Men 1.5.

The making-of on the original Iron Giant isn't worth watching more than once, if at all. Typical fluffy promo. The new features on Mallrats aren't worth an upgrade, but I'd rather have them than the video commentary, I think.

X-Men 1.5 is missing the FOX television special.
