Yes, the sub tone will be identical for each channel with all the speakers disconnected. That is why I mentioned DVE (or the older VE for that matter), because they use the LFE channel and not the speaker channels for subwoofer calibration. Your AVR test tones will function in a similar manner - while not DD per se, the subwoofer tone is dedicated with AVR test tones.
