How do you tell when your DVD player is dieing? Mine makes noise which is a litle louder than before, but other than that, it is ok...so do I have anything to worry about?

isn't it "dying"
If you DVD player pixelates, varies load time, sometimes refuses to play discs, and so forth, that's a bad sign. Usually there are no symptoms; the laser will decide to go bad in a split second, no?
