I just watched Fox's superb 5-Star Edition of Die Hard last night.
Imagine my disappointment when, approximately 1 minute into chapter 35, the picture started to break up (strange green/white blocks streaked across the screen) and then completely froze.
Has anybody else experienced problems with this disc? I'm using a modified Sony DVP-S7700 player and this has not occured on any other disc.
    Thanks!
    John

I have watched this disc with no problem on my Panasonic A120.

Does it lock up at the same place when you play it again or are the lock-ups random?
I ask this only because this is the sort of thing that happened with my APOCALYPSE NOW disc and it ended up being my player (Panasonic A-110) that was hosed, not the DVD (some kind of laser tracking problem that would have cost more to repair than it cost to buy a new player). If it happens in the same place every time I'd guess its a bad disc. Just a guess though...

It pixelizes and locks in the same place each time so I guess it's the disc. I contacted Amazon and a replacement is on its way to me already... what astonishing service! Hopefully the new disc will work better... it's an absolutely tremendous DVD otherwise.
    Thanks for your comments :)
