    Hey

MGM have now announced Die Another Day (region 1) for a release on the 3rd June. I don't really fancy typing all the specs up, but it looks the same as the region two specs minus the exclusive region two documentary. Anyway, click the link below for all the disc specs and a look at the artwork. It's big so may take a while to load:

Yeah, I've not seen the film yet so I'm looking forward to the dts track and plenty of action! Oh by the way, I put together a page with artwork from a few different countries a few days ago...personally I think the US one pales in comparison to the UK art but maybe that's just me liking explosions on the cover! Anyway, you can check them out here

Because we all have to know who's in the movie! Look at our noggins!

Tomorrow never Dies (silver) is the best Bond cover

8 bucks extra for the VHS?! Now I'll HAVE to get the DVD. That's not fair!

Seriously though, it's nice to see MGM finally giving another release a DTS track(and not because of Ridley Scott demanding it). Hopefully this is the start of a trend. With them and Paramount on the bandwagon, that leaves WB as the remaining "DD only" studio.

I couldn't care less what the cover looks like as I'll be using the cover to match Zinema's 007 collection. But that cover is one of the worst I've seen recently...ugh

edit: the cover on MGM's site looks a good deal better - hopefully that will be the one they use (and the release date they list is accurate)

Actually I'm guessing that the Blue background is a slipcover and not the actual case.

I think it is wonderful that MGM is finally going to put a DTS-ES track on their DVD. Let alone it is a BOND movie. How cool is that. I always like to use all my speakers and have discrete channels for them all. This absolutly made my day when i saw this.

    DTS FOREVER

I wish I could have the same excitement for the franchise itself. This last one IMHO was especially horrid and makes the Bond role seem more and more like xXx than a sophisticated secret agent. The dialog was so... dumb!

Also missing are a lot of REAL physical stunts (dangerous too) without much help from the SFX department that were a trade-mark of the Bond franchise.

The real Bond is dead to this fan until they can go back to what that series means (instead of making it another Bruce Willis type actioneer). Why can't they have a mixture of the coolness and sophistication of a Sean Connery film with some of the playful tongue-in-cheekiness of the Roger Moore era? A good mix in my book. Better villians and henchmen would be a good start too (Why not bring back SPECTRE? They weren't Russian, Arabs, etc., but a universal diabolical criminal organization bent on world domination and chaos). Baddies like Jaws and Odd Job stood out for their uniqueness. Who could forget women with names like Pussy Galore or Honey Rider? [IMG] Oh well...

Dan, I more than share your sentiment. It's sad to see that the most exciting thing about the upcoming DVD is not the movie on it but a sound mix...

The official James Bond site has it listed for April 15th and shows different cover art as well:
