Disney is releasing two versions of the baseball movie the "Rookie". A WS and P&S version. I wonder if our calls & emails may have had a hand in influencing this?

I was wondering that too, because didn't that Disney rep that thedigitalbits.com interviewed say that they didn't like these separate version releases anymore? I hope our complaints have had at least some influence on future decisions.

A widescreen version of The Rookie had always been planned, according to a Disney rep I talked to a few months ago--just as the Snow Dogs backlash began.

I don't believe 'The Rookie' falls under the same target audience at 'Snow Dogs' either. It has a broader adult appeal.

I'd still rather buy Snow Dogs (if it were in widescreen) than The Rookie. Does that make me a bad person? [IMG]

I would imagine that The Rookie would fall into the same marketing category as Remember The Titans, which also had a dual-AR release.
