I'd say it's a good day and not such a bad thing if all that can be complained about is the cover artwork. Unless I planned on displaying the cover of the keepcase, I could care less about what the cover looks like. Otherwise, I'd just download a replacement - no biggie.

Can't wait to finish the circle with this one. Overall, the movie was a let down, as was Reloaded, however, for a heavy budgetted "B" stock type movie, it was enjoyable enough and I'm sure it will be a great looking and sounding DVD to add into my collection.

The movie certainly wasn't satisfying to me as a way to end the trilogy (cause in the end it didn't solve anything really), but I will pick this up when it's released.

Straight up... the cover art blows chunks. :D

The extras seem like the same boring crap from Reloaded. I'm sick of "bullit time" docs. We all know how they did it. Is the box set coming out this year? If it is I'll just wait for that. I also am not willing to double dip on these sequels. I hope they don't put the words "special edition" on the cover. There is nothing special about it and that phrase is used way to much on DVDs these days. I remember when "special edition" actually meant something. Oh, well bring on the box set, I'll wait for that. Call me strange but I liked Revolutions better then Reloaded and I was hopping for a DVD with a little more substance. I've been spoiled by the LOTR: Extended Editions.

No offense, but it's either merge or delete time...

Multiple threads due to lack of forum searching is one thing, but when there's an identical thread still on the front page...

Here's a tip for Warner Brothers: Include ALL the trailers from the entire trilogy. In anamorphic widescreen and 5.1 sound.

Lame @$$ artwork... :)

I will not buy any of the Matrix sequels, unless a box set is released with a revised/extended cut of reloaded and revolutions...

I'm holding out for the boxed set. I own the first movie, but am not double-dipping for these. LotR, yes - these, no.

And for the record, I loved all three movies. Just have no desire to own multiple copies of them, if I can avoid it.

The boxed set better bleeding well include the trailers, though.

I want to hold out for a box set, but I love this movie too much.

That is horrible box art. I would have been at least satisfied with one of those pictures separately, or the neo one or whatever. But that one flat out sucks.

At least it's in a keep case. :|

considering that i might not LIKE the director's cut of the trilogy, i'll definitely get the first releases. if in fact the rumours are true and they do add some of the video game clips into the DC, i'll want the theaterical releases more. not a big fan of the video game clips.

Totally off topic, but EricW, where is your sig from? It looks familiar, and I can't place it, and it's been bugging me like crazy for the last year.

Oh, and just to remain somewhat relevant, I agree, the artwork looks like absolute crap.

Now that is a heinous cover. I too love the films, so I'll buy this sham 2 disc set just to get the gorgeous film. But the boxset better pack a lunch with regards to extras. Because I want it as well, and Just Married probably has better featurettes than Reloaded and Revolutions.

Still...I'm excited to watch all of the films together :D

Take care,
Chuck

I'm not sure if there is anything new or different to add to Tom's post, but here are the cut & pasted details that I received today.

SYNOPSIS

In the powerful final chapter of the Matrix trilogy, Neo (Keanu Reeves) took another step forward in the quest for truth that began with his journey into the real world at the outset of The Matrix - but that transformation has left him drained of his power, adrift in a no man's land between the Matrix and the Machine World. While Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss) holds vigil over Neo's comatose body, Morpheus (Laurence Fishburne) grapples with the revelation that the One in which he has invested a life's worth of faith is merely another system of control invented by the architects of the Matrix. During the stunning conclusion, the rebel's long quest for freedom culminates in an explosive battle. As the Machine Army wages devastation on Zion, its citizens mount an aggressive defense - but can they stave off the relentless swarm of Sentinels long enough for Neo to harness the full extent of his powers and end the war?

Talk about Big Head Syndrome. You get it four times with this cover!

I think I'm waiting for the inevitable box set.

is Warner contractually obigated to put Fishburne and Moss on the DVD cover or are they just pandering to the masses?
