What do you think of a Denon 3805 receiver refurbished by Denon? Should I consider it?
Full warranty?? why not! Brent
Great price?/ I say go for it as well.... The 3805 is hella nice.
My thinking is that because Denon refurbished it, it should be clsoe to new again. I am still going to compare the 3805 to other receivers though.
From an authorized dealer the 3805 refurbished is $700
Hmm. well dang nice reciever for $700 no doubt about it.
That is the dilemma, brand new 2805 or refurbed 3805......difficult choice. After listening to both today I thought the 3805 sounded better, the extra power was noticeable. I think that as long as it was refurbed by Denon, and I still have a warranty, the 3805 might be the choice.
Warranty is 90 days on refurb I believe. 180 if you buy with a CC.
IF it is refurbed by Denon, why is the warranty only 90 days? Bummer, maybe I will just buy the 2805, I'll still be happy with it since it did sound great. Now I need to think about this some more.
Most refurbs only have a 90 day warranty. I was looking at one yesterday @ pcmall and they list it as 90 day warranty: http://www.pcmall.com/pcmall/shop/de...pno~470071.asp Bottom of page-90days parts 90 day labor.
Dakmart.com Full Fac Denon warr.
Dakmart has a B stock 3805 for $850, I can buy it new from an authorized dealer for $900. Has anyone bought any refurbished equipment with only 90 days warranty?
Yeah, for $50, I would def. buy it brand new. nice unit, but out of my price range. $400 was just about my max.
Wow,which dealers have it for 900? I think its more like 900 shipped. Dealer,if it is 900 plus tax.
I haven't found it online for that price from an authorized dealer, I found it locally. When I am ready to buy I am going to bring cash and see how much they are will to work with me ($800 max), otherwise I will buy the 2805, I need to have a full warranty, especially paying this type of money in case anything goes wrong.
BStock gives you a full factory warr. Got my 2805 for $671.
"B" Stock scares me. . . I bought several "B" stock Pioneer ELITE pieces over the years from a reputable Pioneer dealer with mixed results. . . All worked OK but some looked more like they were well used more like almost worn out. . .
What does 'Bstock' mean?
I know that ecost.com offers extended warranties. I added one to cover my factory refub. Denon 2805. A two year extended warranty cost me $65.00.
