I own a Denon AVR-3300 since 1 1/2 year and something is bugging me. I have selected the AUTO input mode. Evetime I put in a DVD, it starts to play in DOLBY PRO LOGIC. All the DVD menus are in PRO LOGIC. I would really prefer to hear them in STEREO. When I select the tracks that I want to hear (exemple: DTS 5.1) the receiver switch to the correct mode. Are DVD menus encoded in DPL ? Or do I have to set something up in the receiver ?

    Thanks
    Any help appreciated.

My 1802 is the same: if input mode is set to Auto, any two channel source automatically gets DPLII applied, & unfortunately the only way (I believe) to avoid this is to switch to Stereo mode. I used to switch back & forth when I was using my DVD player for both movies and CDs.
