I would like to use this connection on a 4802 to turn on/off a parasound HCA 1000. Is anyone doing something similiar? Any issues?

Also, what is the size of the 12v plug that the denon takes, 5mm, 5.5mm etc.

The parasound just takes bare wires so I will just make my own cable.

TIA

Brian,

I am in the same boat you're in....

I own the Denon 4802 and I'm trying to remotely power my 2 Parasound amps (HCA-2205AT, 1000A). I have been tryng to find a solution to this for some time and I have run across several possible solutions.

1) Use a power conditioner/and or regenerator's remote trigger switch.

2)Use an in-line signal detector on an interconect.

3)Jury rig a powerplug with bare wires on the opposite end to connect to the amps.

None of these are a definative answer, but it's the best that I could find so far. If you, or anybody else, finds a good solution.....please post it.

Thanks!

I'll probably try and rig a powerplug and run it to the amp. this weekend. I'll post my results if I get it done.
