I just bought a avr-588 (denon) and running into some problems.I only get sound in stereo mode. The sub woofer pre-out doesn't work nor the switched outlets on the back.I bought it for 25$, so what should I expect . Just wondering if there is something I might be doing wrong for the 7.1 channels not to work, I can live without the switched outlets. Or is there a possibility all the problems are connect together?Any ideas would greatly be appreciated.

All speakers set to small and subwoofer set to on at 120hz. Works with the hi level inputs on back of sub (Klipsch RW-12D)

How is the signal coming in to the recevier? There is probably a setting to turn the sub on or off for stereo mode. You probably need a digital coax or HDMI source to get 7.1
