Exciting stuff. The 2910 sounds like it'll be a terrific & not-too-expensive universal player to have. The only downside is lack of WM9 HD media support, but otherwise it sounds great: New DCDi chip, DVD-A & SACD, & DVI w/720p & 1080i.

I believe the DVD Forum doesn't allow that. Not sure why the Zenith DVB318 allows it, but I've read they may disable it w/their upcoming firmware.

I would jump all over a 1910 if my Panasonic L300U's DVI input was HDCP compatible! I love the PQ from my Bravo D1 but it's build quality is less than desirable. It also combs some on video material which the DCDi on the 1910 would probably take care of, but this isn't enough to give up the D1 over. Maybe some luck will lead to an upgrade to an L500U and allow me to pick up a 1910 as well, only time will tell.

I am pretty much sold on the 1910, I have been looking for an under $400 DVD player to go with the Sony 30HS420 that I will be getting soon. Before I heard of this player my main contender was the Yamaha 1500, but the Denon has DVI along with the new Faroudja chipset, plus the price is great ($130 cheaper than the Yamaha) and I don’t really need SACD or DVD-A, it seems like the perfect player for me.

Can't wait to here reviews of the 1910. I've been holding out for a DVI player for months now.
