Denon and Marantz to merge. (1 Viewer)

Denon and Marantz are going to merge operations. I would like to think that only something good could come from this. Well, maybe nothing will change. Hopefully neither brand will lose ground as a result.
By the way, I don't know where this thread fits best, but this board seemed reasonable since it gets a lot of traffic.

Marantz is still majority owned by Philips... "as its largest shareholder" Philips has a 49% stake in Marantz...

according to the Marantz website press release area.

I just hope they don't try anything creative with merging the names. "Dentz" just doesn't inspire confidence in mid- to high-end audio products!
