To date I haven't heard a comprehensible explanation of what IMAX Enhanced actually is. Of course I understand, you're just the messenger.

Imax enhaned whatever it is is only on two of the apparently super high end models The Denon AVR-X8500 and Marantz AV8805

It seems to me that "IMAX Enhanced" is just a new way IMAX can make money thru licensing just like G. Lucas did with THX. I wonder why IMAX doesn't shoot some new documentaries or lend their cameras to directors to shoot with, rather than releasing their "Remastered" features so they can charge higher ticket prices while deafening the audience.
