Hello. I was wondering what the best path (least expensive) to move from the 5803 to a receiver than has HDMI. My current set up is this: Denon 5803 9 speakers (NHT) 2 Front (towers) 1 center 2 dipole 2 surround 2 surround rear 2 subs (NHT) BluRay Comcast HD Box The BluRay and Comcast box connect to receiver using component video. The Denon 5803 connects to my HD projector using component. The Denon acts as an audio and video switch for the disc player and the cable box. The projector is new and recently replaced an older HD projector,. The new projector has component and HDMI inputs. The cost of the 5308 CI(A) is over $5,000. The resale value of the 5803 on eBay is around $1000.00 if that. I noticed the Denon AVR-4311C1 9.2 for around $1600.00. would the 4311 be a good upgrade from the 5803? What would I miss if I use this instead of the 5308? The home theater that this equipment is located in is 20 by 30 feet with no windows. Thanks, -Ted

Out of curiosity. How reliable is Accessories for Less? I'm a bit leery after having been bitten on eBay by a seller several years ago. Is the "Factory Refurbished" receiver as good as new? It seems pretty unbelievably low priced. Thank you!

Look at Denon's USA site. You'll see A4L listed for refurb. It doesn't come with the original 2 year(could be 3...if original sale). It comes with Denon's 1 year. The cost of A4L extended warranty is worth it to cover 2-3 total years. Refurb means... Probably just a return to Denon. Could have been a warranty return and been fixed(the 4520 hasn't been out that long).

I've bought from them a few times without issue. Last time (about 8 months ago?) was a Marantz 5005 avr ($700 msrp-$399), 4003 cd changer ($399-$249) and 7006 ($999-$599) universal dvd player. All were as good as new. About $2100 worth of stuff for about $1275 shipped. I've heard that if there are any issues with Denon receivers ac4l.com turns it over directly to Denon for resolution. Only thing to think about is if the item is shipped for free they deduct that shipping charge from any refund.
