    Hi:

I have a Denon 5800 with a Sunfire Cinema Grand powering the front 5 channels at 200 x 5. The Denon and Sunfire are on their own 20-amp circuit. The reset of my components are plugged into a Monster HTPS 7000 and work fine. Today, I played some music at reference level in 7-channel stereo mode for about an hour, maybe more. (I did not stay in the room). The other three speakers are powered by the Denon at 170 x 5.

Now the Denon will not power on. It does not even make the normal clicking noise. I tried unplugging it, waiting a few minutes, and plugging it back in. I have not tried the microprocessor re-initialization yet. That wipes all the memory. Do you think that will solve it or do I have to send it in for service? [IMG] [IMG]

    Thanks,
    Chris

you mean no lights come on at all? if so, check the circuit and if that's ok, check for any replaceable fuses on the unit.

    Do a hard re-set.

Ya, so you lose the memory. Aside of the radio presets, everything is easy to program in a jiffy.

If that fails, check the fuses. Fuses are easily replaceable.
