Denon 4802 or 3803 (1 Viewer)

The 4802 is an impressive unit, in both style & performance, but is more expensive than the 3803. Does either unit have features that the other doesn't? Does the 4802 have the upconversion feature of the 3803?

The 3803's pre looks equally competent on paper so I would think you would be better off with a 3803 and separate amplification for a better performance than even the 4802. Just my feeling.

Those were my thoughts, plus it's less expensive upfront just in case you think the amps are strong enough.

I bought the 3803.

Yep,3803 and a good 2/5 channel amp if you got the space.The 4802 may be better for some with the WAF issue,and performs well.
