Denon 3805 - set speaker levels without test tones??? (1 Viewer)

I have been tweaking my new Denon 3805 receiver for the past week. When I go to change the speaker levels, I can't seem to do so without the internal test tones playing. Is there a way to shut these off while chaning the channel levels???

I am not familiar with the 3805 and what changes Denon made from my 3802, so I will graciously accept any further posts that prove the following wrong.
With the AMP selected on my remote I press ENTER to bring up a display on the unit itself. Subsequent pressing of ENTER scrolls through the channels of the mode you are in. Raising and lowering the output of each channel is with the up and down arrows. I rarely use the on-screen display at all.
With regard to the test tone volumes....can you not turn down the master volume to kill them?
