I would like to hear from anybody who has experience with using the video switching capabilities of a Denon 3803 (or any a/v receiver with this capability)

Do you notice a drop in picture quality?

Is it best, in general, to avoid using any type of video switching device?

Thanks in advance.

If there is any loss in picture quality, it is so little that you will never notice. Especially in the 3803 since it uses better relays for video switching.

I've had my 3803 for over a year now and I mainly run most devices into it via S-Video and then out to the TV via component. I have not noticed any loss of PQ.

If you can run everything in one input type that would probably be ideal, but if not the 3803 does a great job.
