Denon 3803 video conversion fix????? (1 Viewer)

Supposedly this "fix" is to be available within a couple of weeks........does anyone know how it will have to be applied? Will the defective units have to be taken in for repair? What about "in stock" models, will they be "upgraded" prior to sale? How would the consumer know if the "upgrade" has been done?
