    Hi,

I can't seem to access the systems menu of my denon 3802. When I hit setup on the denon remote nothing happens. The LED on the remote says AV setup but nothing shows on the screen.

I have component out from my DVD player to 3802 DVD in, and component out from 3802 to my HDTV component in.

I can use the dvd player no problem just not the systems menu. Please help!

Does "component out" relay the OSD signal? Is the DVD player on (and possibly overriding the OSD signal)? If so, maybe powering off the DVD would work?

Does the display on the receiver itself show anything when you go into system setup?

Isn't there another "monitor out" or something like that on the Denon that you could hook up to a different input on your TV?

Just run a cheap pair of composite cables to a free video input on your set from your Denon.
Select this input on the set's menu when you want to get the Denon's OSD.
The OSD for the 3802 isn't supported over a component connection.

I just use a cheap S-Video for mine...Make sure you go to that output you have hooked up to your TV.. Hope that makes sense.
