I have been thinking about adding a dedicated rear sub to my system and I have a question.

I have all speakers set to small and the receivers crosover set to 80hz.

If I get a powered sub and run it from the rear preamp outs will the sub see a full range signal(even tough the rears are set to small) or does the preouts also send a filtered signal?

    Thanks

The pre-amp outputs are just before the amps. So, the level trim and crossovers are fully implimented.

If you want to use a sub with any pre-amp output (except for the sub output), you must set the speaker size setting to "Large".
