I'm considering selling my Sony 333ES for a 3802. There's one thing I never liked about the 333 - there was a delay in the audio when starting DTS playback. If I resume playback after pausing, there's a few second delay before the sound resumes. It doesn't happen on DD tracks, and I assume this is caused by the receiver confirming the DTS signal.
Does this happen on the Denon?

NOPE - I've never heard any pauses from the 3801, 4800 or 5800.
However, there is a slight pause and click when changing input sourse due to Denon's dynamic discrete...jargon.etc...

Yes Elbert is right.
I know how annoying the "pop" could be,the Denon AVR-3600 did this, and every layer change seemed longer because if that.
Since the AVR-3300 the "pop" is gone!

Paul,
I had the Sony 50ES and I hated that it did the DTS delay. I picked up the 3801 soon after it was first released and have loved it ever since. There is no delay at all with DTS.
