Denon 3800 vs. 2900 Question (1 Viewer)

Hi folks--

I'm in the process of installing a new HT at my parents' home, and have a quick question. I had all but decided on the Denon 2900 as the video source, but discovered that it doesn't have a "last picture memory" feature. This essentially means that it doesn't remember where you left off if you turn off the DVD player.

As my folks rarely watch a full movie all at once, I definitely need this feature. Does the Denon 3800 offer it? I fully realize that I would lose the SACD processing by going with the 3800.

I can't believe that Denon leaves this feature off a $1000 DVD player when my

yes the Denon 3800 has that. You might want to wait for new Denon models especially the Denon 2200, which looks promising.

David, the '2200 is said to retail for $629 MSRP. There is another thread running here with a link to a .pdf on denon.com. Check out that thread for more info.
