Well after a long wait I finally got my Denon 2805 (b Stock) from Dakmart.

I was so excited to finally have it, I pulled it out of the box and fondled its shiny silver finish while admiring the extensive connections on the back of the unit.

I looked through the bag of accessories....
Remote - Check
Batterys - Check
Manual - Check
Set-up Mic - Check
Power cord...... I let out an amazing loud cry of disappointment... NO POWER CORD!!!!!!

The feeling was like ordering a brand new 2005 Mustang 3 months before they shipped. The dealer calls you and says its here.... and when you get there.... No Engine.

So my question is... will a Computer Power Cable work with this unit while I wait for them to send me one? The connector looks identical (except for missing the ground pin)

Yes. Go ahead and use a computer power cord if the female end of the cord will fit the plug on the receiver. I am assuming that the 2805 does not have the ground connection. The computer cord is still polarized and will work fine.
