Does anyone know if the new Denon 2803 and/or 3803 will have more than two component switching? The 4802 and 5803 both have thee component in, with one component out. Also, they are rated at 50MHz and 100MHz respectively on the component switching. The current 3802 has only 27MHz for component switching, which I've read is fine for DVD, but not great for HDTV.

Bottom line is if either of these receivers has three component in and higher MHz for component switching, it may be better for me than the 3802.

Thanks.

Welcome Corey:

I have my Sony HD Sat100 and the Toshiba 6200 connected to the 3802 thru the component inputs without any problems whatsoever.

Checkout my sytem.

From what I've read, the slower frequency makes HDTV image slightly softer, which may or may not be noticable.

Michael,

Thanks for your reply (in both places!). I think I'm ready to order the 3802. I hope they honor the price on Monday (they're closed today - Saturday).

P.S. Enjoyed the pics of your setup.

Corey - I called Denon a couple of weeks ago and that was one of the questions I asked them. Unfortunately the rep I spoke with was unable to reveal any info about the 3803 until they have an official press release on it. It seems that the tentative date for release is this August or Sept.
