denon 2200 remote question, ntsc/pal button (1 Viewer)

what exactly does that button do? just wondering and i cant find my manual after moving, do you toggle it for if you have a hdtv or regular? but the setup menu takes care of all that i thought, any help?

Don't have that model, but NTSC is the standard American television system and PAL is the European standard system.
Neither is HD.

It might change the output of the player from one standard to the other or it might be something you need to press when playing a PAL disc.
